The Adinath temple of Maldah, was destroyed and converted to
a mosque by sultan Sikandar shah (1358-1390). This magnificent temple
was partially destroyed and then
re-designed, now known as Adina mosque, (* see the modification how
Adinath became Adina) .....however the golden past of the temple is
still visible. Excavations going on.
